Cycling Routes
From Potos and from the main road, we reach the village of Maries where is the last place of civilisation before the forest and until Theologos. Just 5 km outside Maries we can find the technical lake of Maries. Next and through a major uphill road we can reach the shelter of the climbing club just a few meters beneath the highest top of Thassos. Theologos is 12 km from here. When we get to Theologos, we can have a ride inside its graphic roads and then a final 10 km downhill to Potos, where the end of our route is. The distance is about 65 km, and it lasts 6-8 hours, thus a good natural fitness is required, and it is a medium hard route.
Cycling routes are also the two mountain races THASSOS MTB CUP and ULTRA CHALLENGE THASSOS MTB. These routes are very tough though, so you better be an experienced in mountain bike races before you try them out.
